so here's my set up, mini DVI to HDMI into the TV and audio into my receiver; directly behind the wall from our AV stuff in the living room is our bedroom TV that has a spare HDMI input with either audio to the TV or our old HTiB.

I tried the cheap DVI to DVI/HDMI adapter and it wouldn't even go DVI to DVI...POS...

is anyone else doing this, if so could you let me know what equipment you used for the A/V split out of the mini?

We would never both want the mini on both TV's so I think I'm going to try a switcher, any thoughts on which one to get?

Thanks for any help!

I don't have any experience with this, but monoprice.com sells hdmi splitters starting at about $12. They also have a MINI-DVI to HDMI Female and DVI-D Female Splitter for about $17. Personally, I'd probably go with one of the powered models for $33-$65 for a one HDMI to two HDMI splitter.

FWIW, I bought a VGA switcher from Monoprice a few years ago. I would never buy another from them.

After one year or so, it became defective.
