These 2 movies have a piece of music in common that I can't find a listing for on either on soundtrack listing in imdb or the soundtrack cds.
It's a very somber piece with a women vocalist.
From memory, it's no only the same piece of music but the same performance.

If I recall correctly, in COM it's played when Theo and Kee are leaving the building with the baby where the battle was raging and they're passing all of the people and the soldiers.

It's also in at least 2 scenes in Donnie Darko.

Anyone have a clue as to what this is?

I thought that it might be Ave Maria but it's not listed on the COM soundtrack listing on IMDB and it's not on either soundtrack cd.
I'll probably have to run through the credits on COM to check.

There are 2 donnie Darko soundtracks. The American one only had the instrumental score composed for the film, (plus the song "Mad World")
The UK one was 2 CDs with all the 80's tunes. It is on that one. But it might be "for whom the bell tolls"
