Hello! Can you please help me with this? I want to control an RC car over internet. For example I want to make a website where people can control RC cars, trucks, submarines, helicopters, airplanes using their browser or any other software. Technology could be bluetooth control, radio control or anything else, you name it. I am really not familiar with the various remote control technologies. The software will for example control real cars located in a garage, not virtual, animated ones. Can you please help? I am wondering about the technology and the actual application. Is it done before and how? Is it possible? Can you give me any websites or materials where I can educate myself? Thank you in advance!

There are probably numerous ways to do this, it all depends on what your end goals are. If you want to do this for just one vehicle as a test, it would probably be easiest to use the RC controller and setup computer controlled actuators to control the vehicle. You'll have to get a custom user interface developed to allow user inputs from the web to control the actuators. To do this on a larger scale, I think you'd want the computer to direct communicate to the RC vehicle with the RF frequency of the vehicle. I don't think any of this would be easy unless you could develop the user interface yourself. If not, I think that would be really expensive getting the right person to develop the software needed.

I'm sure it's been done before.
