OK

I need some help looking for a solution and I have been out of this for a while.

I have a MX 900 URC and I am building a home theater cabinet.

List of equiptment:
Denon 3808CI
Sony 400 disc dvd mege changer
Tos A30 HD DVD
Scientific atlantic 8300 explorer

Soon to add Sliverstone Grandia gd01mx HTPC case with Imon software and remote
And soon an OPPO BDP

I want to add an IR\RF extender \ Blaster (to put behind the cabint )and I dont know which one to add that will be compatibale with the URC and evenmore ( If we only want less) can pass through the signals from the orignial remotes also???

Thanks

TIM

The only RF base units that will be compatible with the MX-900 are the MRF-xxx units made by URC, but they will not receive or pass IR. Any IR repeater system, like the Hot Link Pro, will work with any universal remote.

So, your choices are to use RF with the MX-900 and not use your original remotes, or get an IR extender and use any remote.

get an MRF 350 and an IR receiver. The MRF350 has an IR input, connect the IR receiver to that and you have't got rf with ir control from OEM remotes

Ok I ordered the 350 and recieved it today.

Now how do I do the ir portions of this. Do I just use the IR blaster that came it or do I need a sperate receiver to perform this funtion.
