I've had the 50PX80U for two weeks and LOVE IT!!!!! I feel like I have "eyeballed" my calibration settings as good as I can get them and am very satisfied with the picture.
One thing that bugs me is that I cannot tell any difference whatsoever when adjusting the sharpness---even when looking at "barcode" images on THX Optimizer.
Can anyone help me out here? Can anyone relate? Since I can't tell a difference, where should I leave it?

I find the picture awful soft on my 50px so I have the sharpness turned up to about 78 on mine and that seems to get rid of some of the softness.

What resolution is the TV receiving from the source? I've found that a 1080i signal looks more crisp and detailed than a 720p signal. A 720p signal looks too soft by comparison.

I have the TIVO HD sending a 1080i fixed signal all the time to the TV, and the DVD player upconverts to 1080p. .....but still sometimes fuzzy.
