I'm considering moving from windows/beyond tv to linux/myth tv. One of the features about BTV that I enjoy is the "link box" concept--that is, I can have tuners in only one computer, but I can control recording, playback, etc. from other computers as well. Does myth TV have this feature?

That is actually the basic architecture of MythTV!

I suspect BeyondTV copied this idea from Myth, since Myth has been around since 2003 or so.

Myth is broken into two "pieces"- the Front End and Back End.

They can be on the same computer, or you can have multiple frontends and backends. The backends would have the tuners.

Any frontend can control the backend(s).
