OK...so here is the deal, I have had a Harmony 890 set up and working for about a year. Recently Sharp replaced my TV with a new model so I was forced to move my inputs around. I remember going through a lot of trials with delays and sequences to activities that I would rather not have to do from scratch, is there an easier way to migrate these? Also...for some stupid reason Sharp put the IR sensor on this TV right in the middle which is blocked by a center channel speaker so I will also have to add the iR extender...again is this easy enough to do now or am I better off starting over?

Got some help over on the Logitech forum and changed the TV over easy...then I had a few issues on adding the remote extender. For some reason now my PS3 won't shutoff and the remote will indicate it should be turning on Input 9 but it always selects 8. I sent an email to Logitech support but anyone have any ideas?

I now have the PS3 working again but found a database issue on the TV. Apparently Logitech shows my TV (SHarp LC-46D85U) correctly as having 9 inputs but on the page where they show you how these commands are mapped Input9 shows a command of Input8...the drop down box reveals no Input9 command. Sent and email to Logitech to see what they say, just can't beleive Sharp would have descrete inputs for all the other inputs but not 9.

It might just be that Sharp has an Input9 discrete command listed for another TV in Harmony's DB. If not, you'll be able to get around it by using a pseudo-discrete method, where the remote sends Input8 command as an anchor point and then InputNext to toggle over to Input9. Harmony might have done this by default but if you went in to modify input settings and saved your changes, whatever is setup by default would have been overwritten by your settings. Either way they should be able to solve this problem for you quite easily.

At the end of the day, if you haven't any discrete commands on your original remote, be happy Harmony gives you 8 out of 9. They can only guarantee the Harmony will replicate your original remote (be it toggling inputs one by one or whatever the case made be) ... the rest is a bonus. ;) Sometimes it's the manufacturer's fault of not divulging their IR codes, in which case you can contact them to see if they'll help you.

Good luck.

Basically I had to set it up so it went to Input8 then hits the InputNext button to get to 9. Works fine...but I have to say, Logitech support has been great. They have been very responsive and helpful the whole time...wish more companies were like that.
