I have an HDP set up to output 1080P to my Panasonic 1080P display. The display is set to 1:1 pixel mapping. On some HD channels i.e. TNTHD I get one or two vertical lines at the left edge that are white. It is disturbing on dark scenes. Not all channels do it. I have adjusted the position of the picture the best it can be without having a white line on the other side. Is this just the channel or am I missing something in the set up? Thanks.

Use the Lumagen test patterns to align the outgoing signal with the panel itself.
Use content from your source to adjust the MENU>IN>SIZE>T/L and B/R to get the incoming signal centered in the outgoing frame

It could also be the channel not mapping the pixels in the correct positions. I see CBS shift them from one day to another. Some programs have them and others don't. Both my HDDVD player and my Bluray player map perfect 1:1 mapping using the same adjustments. When I use these adjustments for my SAT DVR some stations have lines. Sometimes green sometimes white. I usually see them on the left , right or even bottom. You could either adjust the geometry to hide the lines or use blanking for the lines near the edges on your HDP while watching TV stations.

Use the input size adjustment on the LumagenHDP to set which pixels the HDP captures from the video source. We suggest that you set the top left corner and then the bottom right corner so that, per the video specs, you overscan the image by at least 1.5% on all four sides. Cable and satellite boxes may require some extra overscan. Go through the channels and set input size for the worst case.

I prefer to use the masking feature, rather than scaling. Using masks makes the visible image slightly smaller, but I prefer that to scaling HD for a 1080P display.

TNT is one the few HD channels that is 720p. Do you have this problem with all 720p channels, or do you see this on 1080i channels as well?

I thank all of you for your suggestions. Ronomy, I think you are right about TNT HD. I notice the line on Law and Order but other material doesn't seem to have the line. I also notice it on Palladia.
Randy, I have the output set to 1080P. When I go to input>size, I get a grey bar about 1 inch on the left and top of the picture. The size control does not seem to work. I'll try it in 1080 I. What is the difference in using the input size control versus the output size control?

Thanks again guys.

Yes My Palladia recordings have the line on the left hand side. I turn on masking to get rid of it.

During the adjustment of the input size we move the corner in and add gray bars to the image. This makes it easier for you to see the corner and adjust the overscan accurately. Ignore the gray bars. We move the corner back out to the normal position when you are finished with the adjustment.

Randy,
Why does the internal overscan pattern display differently than the overscan pattern on my VP403? I can be lined up on the VP403 and off to the right on the internal pattern.
