Sounds like it. I have one that won't hold a charge for more then a week unused. Just dies of natural causes :D

that is so stupid.... that is the one thing i like about the ps3 is i can just cycle my controllers to hold a charge, but i only bought one plug and play (for 50 dollars) and now it doesn't even work..... I love my 360 and if it didn't have so many great games and great online i would be more upset, but i am going to think twice before i buy the next xbox. In between things like this, having to send my my xbox not once but twice to MS (after spending about 10 hours on the phone with customer service), after all the issues i have had it will be tough to buy again, not saying i am won't. but it is like having a ford that breaks down all the time and you keep having to spend money to repair it, you will probably buy chevy next time....anyways i am done now...

don't bother with the play and charge kits.... for about the same price you can get a good set of rechargeable batteries and a charger. search on amazon for "eneloop." i've had 2 play & charge kits go bad on me and the same has happened to plenty of others on this board.
