Good day

I am a custom installer selling URC prodcuts. I generally sell prodcuts to clients and then charge a programming fee. I have never used an mx450 and never had any requests for them. Randomly this week I had two previous clients ask to purchase them. I am curious how easy/hard are they to program and would they be able to figure the remote out on their own or should i count on a service call?

Its a little easier than an MX350, but you will get the service calls.

I think the main reason you'd get service calls is the fact that there's no documentation with the remote. I have both a 350 and 450, and 450 is very easy and intuitive to program if you have some experience with some of the low end ( 350/650 ) type remotes.

If you wrote up a tutorial for your clients, and pre-programmed the remote with a base structure ( activity macros in dummy devices on main page 1, and real devices on the other main pages ), it would probably go a long way to avoiding service calls.

jrwhite thats a great idea actually. I think i will do that for them both and then also type up a tutorial and supply that with the remote. I am sure they can't be that difficult with some simple instructions.

Thanks for your help folks
