Is anyone else experiencing freezing issues with Madagascar 2? The movie keeps locking up on me while playing in my Panasonic DMP-BD35. Since this is one of the most popular players out there, I'm quite sure others on this board have tried this combination. I'm wondering if this is a known issue, or I simply have a bad disc.

Might be a problem with your disc. I found that sometimes, you will get a bad BD disc which results in stuttering or lockups. Try another copy of madagascar 2 and see if it is a problem with your disc or player

No problem playing Madagascar 2 on my 35.
Try rinsing it with some water and thoroughly dry it with some paper towel.

There was a recent firmware update (1.7?) I have this player, too, and although it may not get corrected with the firmware update, perhaps it's worth a try. If you can't find the firmware update on their site, or update your player via the internet, try scrolling through the Amazon BD forum. Someone posted a direct link.
If the latest firmware does not fix your issue, and wiping the disc and ensuring it is clean does not fix your issue, I would just exchange it. Some discs are just bad :)
It is rare. But it happens.
mine had no problem.May be a flawed disc.

Thanks for all the responses, guys!
The first thing I did was make sure that I had the most current firmware. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the problem, so I went back to Best Buy today and exchanged the disc for a new one. Everything appears to be hunky dory now, so the first disc was clearly flawed. I have to say, the picture quality on this transfer is nothing short of stunning! :)

Movie played fine for me on PS3 and BDP-05FD.
Froze when accessing BD live features for the first time on my PS3. I had to stop the disk and restart it via the PS3 control menus.
Poorly designed BD-Live disk with Junk Content - as most are.
