I have been looking for a IR controller block that I can connect 4+ inputs and have one high-powered output in the room where I have all my AV stuff. I can find blocks that have multiple inputs, but then they have even more outputs. I don't want to wire each device and would rather a have a blaster situated in the rear of the room to control all devices. Any suggestions?
You would use a regular connecting block and an IR blaster like those listed below. This method can take a bit of trial and error to get working well, each unit has different output capability which may or may not match your gear and installation.

Xantech 38020
Xantech 39020
Niles IRB1
Audioplex IRFlood
Crestron STMB
SmartHome 8174
SpeakerCraft IRE5.0

The Xantech 38020 would work out well! Thanks! I am just also trying to find a connecting block that has more then one input, (i.e., 4ish) and is cheaper then those blocks that have a lot of inputs, but also have a ton of outputs. I am just thinking that a block that doesn't have so many outputs would be cheaper:D Another option is going with wireless IR repeaters and receivers. I just wanted to wire everything... Thanks again for the help!

If you really want to go cheap, remember that the Ir receivers are just all connected together in parallel. So, you could get a $2.50 barrier strip at Radio Shack and connect the wires from the four receivers on one side and wire to the connecting block on the other. I have some extra stuff I would sell fairly cheaply if you want to PM me,.
