I was just checking out the Boom Boom Rocket demo.
I'm so used to A or B, have to say when it was comes up "red" I didn't always get it right.
So what do you remeber the buttons as?

I know them by both myself. Usually I think of it by letter, but when I'm explaining it to someone who doesn't play games often, I tell them by color.

Same here. I have no trouble swapping back and forth at will.

I admit I actually have some trouble differentiating between the back buttons (LB, LT, RB, RT) really quickly. Like is someone just says "push LB" I have to think about it for a second.

Yeah that often get's me as well.

I'm suprised at myself having been a hardcore dreamcast that had the same colour/letters

colors and then letters.

honestly though, it's a bit of a challenge between PS3 and 360 with X being on both systems but different spots. My friends will ask something and I say hit X and then they do and then they die. Oops.

LOL...I have that same problem. I think I'll get that thing to use a 360 controller on my PS3, but I have a feeling that will add even more confusion....you know, when the PS3 game is telling you to hit square.

I didn't even realize A was green. I never pay attention to the colors.

I would actually play my PS3 if I had that.

same here. I wish there was a "kit" or how to to do this, I'd be all over it!

sure, I'd lose 1 360 controller but it'll be all good, just buy another one (cheaper)

Have at it. (I think this guy will do it for you, but it's not cheap...plus it costs you a 360 controller and a PS3 controller):
http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/01/how-to-make-a-ps360-controller/

Alternatively, I plan on getting this...in fact I should just order it now:

http://www.amazon.com/XCM-Cross-Battle-adapter-Playstation-3/dp/B001O89YTU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1235436607&sr=8-3

Of course, I'll have to rig up stickers or something to replicate the PS3 buttons...not really sure what would work best, but I suppose you could leave it as-is....but really for about $60-$70 for this and a wired controller, it would be well worth it, and I'd probably play my PS3 more...

Apparently there is also a Rumble version as well, but it's even more expensive. Hmmmm...not sure that's worth it, but probably.

if you're running linux on the ps3 you can use a wired 360 controller without the XCM box
