Reset lamp issue... Help

I have the Sharp XV-9000u projector and when I follow the lamp reset procedure, the projector turns on for approx. 2 seconds then turns off. The reset does not take place.
Did anyone have this issue and if so how did you correct the problem.

I don't know the answer, but you might call Sharp tech support...they should be able to guide you since you aren't getting replies here...
