Hello,

I'm setting up my first home theater and I just order the Onkyo TX-SR706. I was wondering what you guys thought about this 5.1 setup. I'm trying to get the most bang for the buck.

Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR706
Fronts: Definitive Technology BP6B
Center: Definitive Technology C/L/R2002
Surround: Definitive Technology BP1.2X
Sub: Definitive Technology SuperCube III

My room is about 14'x22' with cathedral ceilings and hard wood floors.

Thanks. :)

I like definitive, especially for HT only. I like other speakers for music listening, but that doesn't mean you won't love them for music.

They are easy to drive so the 706 will have no problem getting them loud. The 706 offers a ton for the money. I am on my second consecutive Onkyo AVR.

I think you could get a better sub for the money. the sub forum has a ton of great threads for companies like Epik, SVS, and a bunch of others I am drawing a blank on.

If you listened and you like it go for it!
