I searched all over and can't find the answer to this. Various users have complained about the same thing but I can't find the solution, or the cause.
If I playback my Canon HF10 videos (usually 30p, highest resolution) using the mini-HDMI cable directly connected to my TV then it is fine.
If I playback the videos using an older version of PowerDVD that allows playing media files then it is fine.
If I playback the videos through Vista Media Center using FFDSHOW then the audio is highly out of sync. Typically off maybe 3 or 4 seconds on a short 20 second clip. I would prefer to use Vista Media Center as a central storage for all my videos rather than having to separately use PowerDVD. Not to mention newer versions of PowerDVD won't allow file playback.
Questions:
1. What is causing the audio sync problems? Is my HTPC too slow? (Intel G35 based system)
2. Can FFDSHOW be configured to eliminate the audio sync problem? Hoping it is possible since PowerDVD plays back fine on the same computer.
3. Any other suggestions?
Thank You
