Looks like it's coming out in april for 1200 MSPs, last December Sega re-trademarked this game and several others including:"ChuChu Rocket, Cosmic Smash, Jet Grind Radio, Sonic Shuffle and more."

Hopefully it will have online play though I'm not counting on it.

This is one of the greatest competitive games ever made. But I'm not sure if Sega will put the work in to make it playable online, it's a 60 fps game that IMO will not work well with lag.

God I hope they do have online, though :D

I've said it a million times before.. SEGA has a cash cow sitting on the Xbox 360 & Xbox Live. Many of the 360/XBL users are old Sega fans that still remember, and in some cases.. still own Dreamcast games.

I cant understand for the life of me why they wont bother bringing their most popular DC catalog titles to the 360 & Live. I for one would definitely purchase Crazy Taxi, Powerstone, and MSR racing.

VOOT is one of the 10 best games ever made. It's an amazing title. I wish I could use the DC Twin Sticks, though. Maybe on PS3/PSN?

Only one of those games is Sega. Though they did publish MSR I don't think they have willy nilly to re-release it any time, especially since they had to license out cars and the like.

I understand teh desire but the 360 controller should suffice seeing how DC's controller only had one analog stick and the 360 has two plus teh L3 and R3 buttons.

You can try playing the XBOX edition of JSR on your XBOX 360, it is backwards compatible. Looks good upscalied to 1080. :)

It should suffice, but from what I hear, it didn't when VO Marz was on PS2.

The Twin Sticks add a lot to this game.

Ugh, JSR Future.

Jet grind radio was never released on xbox, a remake/sequel called jet set radio future was. A lot of people perfer teh first game fir it's more solid and well rounded soundtrack and a more in depth and hectic way fo tagging structures in the game. The sequel focused more on tricks and keeping combos going. I liked them both and would welcome the original.

ninja'd yeah I forgot virtual on 2 ended up on ps2, even so the 360 is still better than nothing. a compatyible dual stick would probably be at least 90 bucks all just for one XBL title. I have no doubt that you could mod an old DC controller with 360 guts though...

Uhh...what's wrong with the dual sticks on your 360 controller? This game was awesome in the arcade! Hoping it's a decent title for live.

I was wondering if the virtualoids were going to keep the dreamcasts on their backs and based on that video above they will. Long live the dreamcast! :D

Daytona USA on Live would be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Sega has an incredible catalog of arcade and Dreamcast games they could put up on Live, but instead they're content with putting out endlessly crappy Sonic games and movie adaptations.

Management at Sega is garbage these days. The whole company is a disaster, which is a damn shame considering they were getting it right with the Dreamcast era for the first time since the early '90's.

Problem is, nobody bought these games. Nobody bought Sega Rally or VF5 either (well, PS3 VF5 did okay, it was a near launch title though). I am not saying I am happy with the situation but I understand.

Virtua On is one of those games that I couldn't wait to pick up for the Saturn, and then when I got it was able to beat it in a matter of minutes - and I didn't have a clue what the hell I was doing.

Well, I think the problem is that VF5 is basically the same thing as VF4, which was basically a remake of VF2. It's the same game from 1995, but with much prettier graphics. The fighting genre has moved on since then and yet VF is still catering to a dwindling fanbase. Same deal with Sega Rally. It becomes harder and harder for people who didn't grow up with those titles to shell out $60 for them.

What Sega has is an incredible archive of arcade and console exclusives. That suddenly become REALLY ATTRACTIVE when given the HD treatment and placed on XBL Arcade in the $10-20 range.

It'll be very interesting to see how well Virtual On sells because it's one of the more uncommon Sega arcade titles (especially in the US). But if it does well, I would hope they'd dig into the back catalog and add more arcade classics.

I read something on Kotaku a while back that the big problem for Sega is that they simply can't find the original code for most of their games!

The model 2 stuff still holds up incredibly well graphics wise, and I find it hard to believe Daytona wouldn't sell very well if priced at $10. They could start by releasing all those ****ing model 3 arcade games that never saw a release.

They're probably so expensive because they aren't going to be making a lot of them. I'd be surprised if Hori sells 1,000 of these things.

Extremely limited market for sure. I have no room to talk, I've paid a hell of a lot more for one game than that thing costs.
