I realised there is a small smudge on the lens of the camera. Im not sure how to clean it off.

How can I tell if it will affect my footage?

I got this thing a while back called the LensPen (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/507196-REG/Pearstone_LENLP1_LP_1_Lens_Pen_Black_.html). It works great and doesn't require any cleaning solution. I haven't found anything that it couldn't remove, plus it's small and can very easily fit in a pocket for in-the-field cleaning. Just make sure the lens is dry before you use it.

Could you go into a little more detail on how the two ends work? I saw this online and looked great. One end is a rubber suction for dust? The other end is a brush?
How does it work against finger prints?

Thankss!

First, you lightly brush off any big stuff with the included brush. Then you rub it down with the other end. The other end is felt-ish and has some kind of dry cleaning compound on it. Fingerprints come up pretty easily, and if you run into something it wont get off completely dry, the directions say to breathe on the lens and try again. There have been a few times I've had to breathe on the lens and sure enough whatever was on there came right off.
