Hey I am starting a new project and just found an old Revere 8 model 40 in mint condition, but can't seem to find any film for it. Does anyone know where I might can find some?

View Full Version : need film for Revere 8 model 40 camcorder, any suggestions? indiefilm72 02-26-09, 02:16 PM Hey I am starting a new project and just found an old Revere 8 model 40 in mint condition, but can't seem to find any film for it. Does anyone know where I might can find some? dp70 02-26-09, 02:28 PM Wrong forum, but assuming this isn't a joke post, this camera probably uses Regular 8mm (AKA Double 8mm), which you can still find at places like Spectra (http://www.spectrafilmandvideo.com/Film.html) and Dwayne's Photo (http://www.dwaynesphoto.com/). Give careful consideration to how much more your project will cost using film over video, plus the fact that you won't be able to record sync sound with a springwound camera. Even many consumer HD camcorders have 24 fps progressive modes these days... indiefilm72 03-03-09, 11:31 PM what forum should I be on then? Thanks for the tips though man. |
