View Full Version : Doing business with a hooker?
Alan Gouger 02-27-09, 09:34 AM Hooker furniture (http://www.hookerfurniture.com/index.cfm/go/catalog.show_entertainment.cfm) that is:)
I was doing a search for entertainment centers ( not the other ) when they came up.
I bet the name has brought a lot of entertainment over the years.
Steve Bruzonsky 02-27-09, 09:50 AM I don't think CM is particularly interested in this brand of "Hooker"!!!@@@
The other nite on "LIFE" (HDTV show) the contract killer was a really good lookin' gal who killed her victim when he paid the "HOOKER"/escort agency to have her "CALL" on him.
Steve Bruzonsky 02-27-09, 09:50 AM Alan, more seriously, Hooker furniture has been around years and years and I'm sure it would be a good line for AV Science to carry.
Jason Turk 02-27-09, 10:25 AM I did business with a hooker named Maple...boy I loved when I got that "wood". :D
QueueCumber 02-27-09, 10:37 AM Talk about a thread title that gets immediate attention!
It brings whole new definition to the term "polishing the knob." The bedpost knobs of course... :p

Yes, Hooker furniture has been around for many, many years with their furniture line. A couple other lines to consider since this is the 20K Forum might be:
Stickley:
http://www.stickley.com/index.cfm
Henkel Harris:
http://www.henkelharris.com/
The Stickley line is made in NY and some pieces if their business model changed like I heard in China.
Henkel Harris is made in the good old U.S.A in Winchester VA. My favorite furniture manufacturer besides Kindel.
Maple was great, but Mahogany was even better!! :D
Jason Turk 02-27-09, 11:14 AM Mahogany was too much money for me...I chose the much more used Maple. :D
Ash Sharma 02-27-09, 11:20 AM In my industry (Manufacturing) there is a company which sells lubricants, the company is called 'Climax Lubricants'.
Whe you call the the gorl picks up the phone and says 'Climax Lubricants' can we help you?

I negotiated a group price.
Jason Turk 02-27-09, 11:53 AM Yeah I forgot they were based in Vegas!
QueueCumber 02-27-09, 11:53 AM Let's hope the hooker doesn't look like this:

That makes for an even better thread title. Thats dangerous:)
BIGmouthinDC 02-27-09, 01:56 PM I have a big 14 year old elephant in my family room named Hooker. He has an antique pine complexion and is built in two pieces. He houses a big Sony CRT XBR 4:3 TV that I keep hoping will bite the dust. When it does I might just take a chain saw to Hooker and reduce him to a manageable size (depth).
I'd be willing to let someone adopt Hooker (for a fee) as he may need a good home where he can live out his days as a spare bedroom.
I had to line Hookers mouth with acoustical treatment because the cave like reverberation of the sound made it difficult to understand what he was trying to say.

Oh man this is going down...hill that is. :)
ssabripo 02-27-09, 02:58 PM how many "roses" or "diamonds" is this? :D
Woodrow 02-27-09, 03:04 PM Man I saw this thread title and I thought maybe Alan was soliciting opinions on possible entertainment for the AVS cruise!! I was all ready to sign up....twice.
Tim in Phoenix 02-27-09, 05:14 PM In my industry (Manufacturing) there is a company which sells lubricants, the company is called 'Climax Lubricants'.
Whe you call the the girl picks up the phone and says 'Climax Lubricants' can we help you?
This has PowerBuy written all over it....... :-) :-)

You do know that on New Year's Eve Charles Barkley got a DUI, for which he is now doing ten days jail time (work release during day I guess to hit the bars with his chauffer). The police reports states that he stated that he was in a hurry on his way to get a b-l-o-you guess the next letter, you guess the following word it starts with J (and the word is a synonym for employment).
Inotherwards, the Chuckster wanted to get it on "down"!!!That's why he wants to run for Governor someday. Then he'll have Executive Privilege like President Clinton.

That is funny "T J Hooker" a good cop show in its time.
Hey, just announced for May release a box Blu Ray set of the first six Star Trek movies!!!@@@ I could get "hooked" on that (well, three of the movies for sure).

I'm all over that box set when it is released.
Hopefully all the Star Trek TV shows will be out on Blu-Ray soon as well...
Alimentall 02-27-09, 06:28 PM Reminds me of Tom Raper RV sales. Unforgettable name.
Woodrow 02-27-09, 06:41 PM I'm all over that box
Oh, never mind...

Rasterfarian 02-27-09, 07:50 PM I used to be a Hooker.
I played Rugby in college.
Curt Palme 02-28-09, 12:06 AM 'Sit in a Hooker chair and you'll always have a happy ending'.
Chu Gai 02-28-09, 12:14 AM I did business with a hooker named Maple...boy I loved when I got that "wood". :D
So, you're saying Maple had an adam's apple?
Steve Bruzonsky 03-01-09, 11:57 AM I wonder if this topless cafe has Hooker furniture???

Hooker is clearly a step down from Henkel Harris and Kindel.
I'm not a big fan of mission furniture, so Stickly never did much for me.
Swampfox 03-05-09, 06:25 PM FWIW: Here's a picture of Hancock and Moore theater furniture, one of the 'high-end' upholstered furniture makers.
