I just purchased the Sharp DT-510 for my small 11' x 11' room and will be projecting on to an 92" screen. Can you tell me which ceiling mount to purchase?

Thanks

The 510 has maybe 8 inches of offset and no lens shift. I have a high ceiling, so I used the widely-available Atdec TH-WH-PJ-CM, because it allows you to drop the projector down about 3 feet. It's not real attractive looking, but it works well. It wasn't terribly difficult to install.

If your ceiling is 8' or so, you have more options.

Depends on the drop you need, but also at 92" and 11ft it looks like a shelf mount on the wall could work also.:)

You could mount it on an inverted shelf like I did.

It's less than ceiling mount and is adjustable.

Exactly. IMO, this is the only way to mount a DLP with high ceilings. That's how i have my HD70 setup.

I use a Chief Universal. They are fairly cheap. For the drop I went to the hardware store and had a pipe cut and threaded to to the length I needed. Then I spray painted the pipe grey. Here are a couple of pics to see how it came out.

My mount is sort of a combo of the two above. I made the board out 2 pieces of 3/4" birch plywood. Drilled out the center of 1.25" oak dowel rod to cover the screws. The Chief RPA - U universal mount is mounted to the top of the board.

I needed the board to attach my anamorphic lens.
