Do Panasonic plasmas have a direct code for the Input selector?

I have a PX80, and the remote only lets you select the input from the input menu, not directly. I'd like to program a direct input selection into my universal remote macro, but as it stands now this is impossible.

Press input (TV/Video) and then the number that corresponds to the input you want. Easy to program a universal remote macro with two steps.

What kind of remote do you have? I have a pdf of discrete commands in pronto ccf format. I was able to convert them for use in a friend's URC MX810.

you can always do it the old fashioned way, go get an "all in one" remote from Radio Shack with the star (magic button) button on it. Press the button then 001 - 256, individually and see what happens to the tv. If it changes directly to the input you need, you have your code, then simply learn the code into your universal remote.

The Panasonic professional models have discrete input codes for inputs 1, 2, 3 and PC. There may be codes available which will work with the consumer models even if these are not included on the original remote. Try www.remotecentral.com you might find the codes there.

Thanks everyone this seems easy. I have a Marantz RC2001 (not a very popular remote but decent, and USB programable).
