Trying to find info on a Pioneer Kuro that my aunt has. It has the speakers on the side like the Elites but has the Pioneer logo where the Elite logo would be. She either got it end of 2005 or early 2006. Any help [gen, specs] would be appreciated.

Yes chad is correct. On the back of the display take a look to see if there is a model number on the label. If not, write down the serial number and call Pioneer and they should identify the model that your aunt has.

I'll have her try it. She's in Norfolf VA and I'm about 4-5 hours away from her. Guess it will have to be whne I go see her next time. Did they sell the Elites with the Pioneer logo instead before..just wondering...figure that could narrow things down.

This is true. It has to be a pre-Kuro Pioneer. Which still looked great but the blacks were way, WAY brighter (I had a 7g PDP-5070HD).

Oh okay. So its not even a Kuro. Remarkable! The last time I saw it was last summer and boy it still kicked my 2009 SONY Bravia's ass in terms of PQ. Gotta hand it to Pioneer. Plasma Gods indeed! Thanks guys!
