Hi...

Just picked up a new Mitsubishi HC1600 (my first trip into the world of projectors). I have a couple of quick questions (which are probably very basic, but I've got to know..)

1. What is the best way to clean the lens (what to use, etc.)

2. When I take the lens cover off (which just pulls/pops off right?) could someone explain to me what the plastic piece that looks like an eyelid on the lens is for.

I use an inexpensive camel hair brush, available at most photo stores. For fingerprints, a sparing amount of lens cleaning fluid and lens cleaning tissue, available at most photo shops.

I believe the cover over the lower part of the lens helps with reflections back into the optical block, improving ANSI cr.
