Projector powers up normally, with no indications of any issues. Then after lamp has been shining for about 15 seconds, the lamp suddenly goes completely dark. The fan on the unit continues to run and the green power on indicator light continues to burn a steady green. No changes to the indicator lights that suggest anything is wrong. Projector has 3100 hours on the bulb - which is about 1/2 the rated life for this projector.
I have repeated the cycle about 4 times this evening - all with the same result.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hard to say for sure...could be a lamp, but if it were a failed lamp I would highly doubt it would keep firing up each time. Might be worth a call into Sim2 at 954-442-2999.

It certainly sounds like a bad lamp but without any other LED's lighting up there's no way to tell. As Jason said it may be a good idea to get Sim2 on the horn...
I know this is late. I'll assume you got your PJ fixed? BTW, I have the same.

Looks like i have a simillar problem with my 300 E.
The power went out the other night for a few hours and when i got up the next morning the PJ fan was running, no light. I turned it off and pulled the plug.
When i got home from work i turned it on and everything worked find for about 10 minutes. Then the light goes out and the fan stays on.
The bulb has 1600 hrs.
If the power goes out will this will be happening all the time?
Should i be shutting the power off by the switch, and not leaving it in stand-by mode, every time i'm done wathing TV?

No that is not necessary.
