Here is my current setup:

Fronts: Infinity Primus P362
Center: Infinity Primus PC350
Rears: Infinity TSS-SAT800

My brother-in-law is letting me borrow his Mirage Omni S8 Sub and is willing to sell it to me for $150, but I feel that the Mirage is not complimenting my system that well.

Budget:

I would like to keep it under $500 if possible. Due to the room size (~1,500 cubic feet) I will probably only need one sub, we are planning on moving in the next few years and if the new house has a bigger theater room I would probably buy a second sub.

Size requrements/limits:

None

Room dimensions:

Currently our HT is in a room that is ~1,500 cubic feet.

Primary uses:

80% HT
20% Music

Listening habits:

We tend to watch movies at reasonable levels, not room shaking, crazy loud levels. I want to feel the base though.

Appearance requirements:

None

Timeframe:

I would like to get something in the next few months.

Here are some that I am looking at:

Infinity PS212 - I can get this for about $250
Elemental Designs A2-300

My question is what other subs that I should be looking at besides these two.

Any help is appreciated.

Look at this in addition to the eD, don't go with the Infinity, you'll get more for your money if you go with an internet-direct company.

One other thing I would like to mention based off the "I will just buy a second sub".

You really want to match subs when you have 2. Also, Lets say you have a sub that goes up to 100db for $500 or you could get a sub that goes to 110db that costs $1000 bucks. Getting 2 of the $500 subs will only output to 106db if they are co-located. To pass 110db you would need a total of 4 of the $500 dollar subs.

I plan on buying the exact same sub if I end up buying another in the future.

Any other recommendations? Right now I am leaning toward the eD A2-300.

You really want to match subs when you have 2.

Why?

I have done enough different subs and the only thing that matters wrt to bass is the FR in your room.
