Will this change the quote I got this past weekend for the 12000 and 12003s? :)
DJGeo,
I speak and give quotes to so many people that I would need to know exactly what I quoted you in order to answer this question. Unusually, though, right before I start the PB I offer the PB quote, so I do not have go back and forth with the prices. You can contact me off line and I will check with the pricing for you.
kevinjs123 03-02-09, 02:31 PM 2 quick questions.
1. Are all seat prices plus shipping? Is there a flat rate based on # of seats or each one going to be specific to where one lives no matter how many seats?
2. There are no sizes listed under the "see dimensions" for the 12006s. Can you post how wide a set of 3 in straigh and curved are?
kevinjs123,
1. Yes, shipping is extra and it is based on specific group, number of seats and destination.
2. Unfortunately this is the only spec I could get from Berkline. It is incorrect though. I recommend using Berkline 45088 spec for now. Just add 0.5" extra for each seat (the 12006 seat is 0.5" wider). All other dimensions are similar.
RSH..
One question, are all seats shipped totally broken down.. ie.. no arms attached to seats, regardless of the configuration ordered?
KNKKNK,
Depending of the configuration you choose you will get various pieces. They can be two armrest recliners, one armrest or armless. The armrests do not ship separately. They are part of the chair that makes a particular configuration.
For example if you order 3 seat configuration, you may get:
IOI - two arm recliner
OI - right arm recliner
OI - right arm recliner
When you put them together you will get IOIOIOI
The backs are off, so you can bring the recliners in small openings. It is quite simple to put the backs on.
I just wanted to write a quick note to say that I just ordered 4 chairs through this powerbuy. Roman was very helpful, very knowledgable and the powerbuy prices were the best I've seen.
I will post again about my experiences with ordering, delivery and my review of the chairs themselves.
Thanks Roman!

So with the backs off, its safe to assume that even the two arm recliner will fit through a 31" opening ?
Brad
Brad,
The height of most armrests is about 25"-26". If you turn the chair on the side, regardless of whether it is two arm, one arm or armless recliner you can bring it into even 28" opening.
minyime 03-03-09, 05:29 PM Just finished talking with Roman to purchase 13175 chairs, which seem to be the best fit for my space and need after looking for a while. I have to say the price was quite good compared to few places I've been looking. Wish I could have afford the Ovation from PCS, but may be I can add the butt-kickers to 13175s later on.
I am about to do the demo to build new HT, so this will definitely motivate me to work on it quicker before the delivery, which I doubt with the amount of work need to be done, but....
heebdawg16 03-03-09, 11:50 PM Roman I have yet to speak with you about these seats, but I am putting together my theater right now and will probably be jumping in on this power buy if the prices are right! Looking forward to speaking with you soon about my choice.
I may only end up ordering a set of two chairs though, which may limit my choices. Plus, I will likely need the seats to be somewhat narrow....maybe 35" wide or less per seat on average. Any recommendations? I prefer chaise style if possible too :D.
heebdawg16,
You will not have too much of a choice, but do please call me, so we can discuss.

Roman - Part of my dilemna is that I want a somewhat narrow chair, but I don't want a chair that isn't going to provide the proper head support when I lay back. I am about 6'0" and I want something that my head will actually rest on when I lay back. Seems strange that a lot of the narrow chairs also cut down on back height.
Does Berkline make anything that will fit this bill? Somewhat narrow, normal back height, and comes in rows of 2?

It does, but not with the chaise design. You may also want to check the Private Collection Seating new group - 3033 Ovations. It has narrow footprint with a 41" high back., and it is a chase...

Two questions with you then about the Private Collection 3033 Ovations...
1) Can they be purchased in a 2-seat configuration (to come out as IOIOI not as a loveseat)?
and
2) How much does the controller I would need to control those buttkickers cost? I am not sure exactly which part I would need. And secondly, are those chairs available without the buttkickers for a lower cost? Because I am not even sure if I would want to use them.
ALSO - To elaborate on my width requirements, I need the width of the two chairs combined to be 72" or less....so maybe I can get a chair a little bigger than I previously thought I could, since I was incorrectly factoring in two arms rests on both chairs, when one would have two arm rests and the other would only have one sine they would be attached. So combined width of 72" or less, chaise style, power recline, not too low of a back, must come in black (LV combo or microfiber, don't care). I guess my requirements are still pretty strict! But I know there has to be something out there to fit them.
heebdawg16
1. Yes, I can possibly give you these configurations.
2. You do not need to buy any controllers. Everything, including 2 mini buttkickers, a power amplifier, wireless receiver and a remote control is built into each chair. With the set(s) of chairs you will also get an RF transmitter that will need to be attached to he subwoofer output of your preamp/processor or surround sound receiver. The signal will be wirelessly passed to all the chairs. You will be able to control (turn on/off the buttkickers and adjust the intensity of them) each recliners independently from your seat. You can also hard wire (run an RCA interconnect from the preamp/processor sub out to the one of the chairs, and then daisy chain the amplifiers). At this point all the PCS recliners come with the BK package pre-installed.
3. 72" will give you much wider selection with both Berkline and PCS recliners.
Contact me offline, and I will try to help you with your selection.

Wow, well then perhaps I will keep those in the running. How long are you running the Power Buy for? My wife and I are closing on our new house on March 13th, so I can't take delivery of the chairs before then.
I will give you a call sometime in the coming few days to talk this over.
heebdawg16 03-11-09, 01:06 AM Well, I finally jumped in on this and ordered a set of 2 Berkline 12003 recliners in an IOIOI straight configuration. Even though Roman was not intending to sell in this configuration, he was more than helpful when working with me and even ended up agreeing to split up a row of four recliners to get me the specific chairs I needed from what he had on stock, so they could be shipped immediately!!!!
I was between the 12000 and 12003, but ultimately, I have been hearing that the 12003 is more comfortable, and has nice features like compartments in the arms, and tray tables for each seat.
So there will soon be two Black Bonded Leather 12003s in my new house!!
I will keep people updated and post pictures when they arrive. Thank a ton to Roman who spent a good half hour on the phone with me to go over my options and give me his input.
I have ordered 3-seat power recline model 12003 sent to Europe and I need to buy a transformer to convert 220 v to 110 v. But I don't know which transformer capacity to order. Does anybody know how much power usage one power recliner uses when operated?
The motors are rated at 3 Amp MAX. From my experience a regular 15 Amp circuit is quite sufficient for even 12 recliners. Remember it will probably never happen when everyone reclines at the same time.

Does anyone have pice of these tray tables? It's the first I've heard of this
Becks,
These trays will only fit the Berkline 12003 and 45094 groups. These recliners have built in hardware into the armrests to accommodate the trays. If you need a price contact me off line.
heebdawg16 03-12-09, 01:47 PM Does anyone have pice of these tray tables? It's the first I've heard of this
I did not know about it either, until I was ready to buy. Even on the Berkline site for the comparable domestic models, it doesn't mention the table, it just shows it in the picture.
Roman informed me that you get 1 tray table per chair, for every chair that has atleast one armrest.
My configuration will be IOIOI, so I am assuming I will receive two tray tables.
Once again, thanks a ton to Roman for all of his help, and I will post pictures when they arrive. Anxiously awaiting my call from the delivery company!
Thanks Roman and heebdawg16
heebdawg16, when your seats arrive can you post up a pic of the chairs with the table attached?
Thanks
Becks,
Here is a picture of the 12003 armrest with built in supporting hardware and the trays inside of the compartment. Each tray has a rod that is plugged into the armrest metal whole.

MidLife 03-12-09, 10:42 PM are those granite or silestone trays or plastic?
Are the trays also brown for black seating?
These are burl wood looking plastic trays. They are used on 12003 and 45003s regardless of the leather/fabric color.
Thanks for the pic Roman, looks like I'll be leaning towards the 12003's now
Folks,
Please remember just one thing - while the 12003 is a very nice recliner (one of my favorite ones) its back is 44" high. If you are not 6’3" or taller person you may be in the situation when the back of the chair blocks your surround sound. Unless you are taller or putting only one row of chairs up against the back wall and your surround sound speakers are up high I would recommend looking at a different group. Do not look just for options and features. Most of the time you need to find the right chair, and it may not be the one that looks good or have most bells and whistles.
derambe 03-13-09, 09:39 PM I've been emailing Roman offline about this powerbuy and I just wanted to say, Roman is the man, he gave me very good advice and a great price! Keep up the good work Roman, and thanks for your time, excellent customer service:)
Dennis
Flyer91 03-16-09, 10:32 PM I just received my Berkline 45025 with power recline/headrests that I purchased through another dealer (not from Roman).
I received two recliners and a love seat.
I am totally unimpressed.
The power recline on all of them stutters and needs you to help it close or it stalls, with only a 135 LB occupant.
The build quality is terrible with jagged fabric edges, staples half way out, globs of hard glue oozing out of the joints, and the sewn seams are not straight on (for example) the armrests.
On one of the recliner's headrest has too much stuffing. So much so that when you sit in this recliner the headrest tilts your head so your chin touches your chest .... and that's with it set all the way in!
The other recliner has the outside side panel coming loose at the top because the nail they used to hold the 'fabric covered cardboard' panel on, is going into a knot hole in the plywood and isn't grabbing any wood.
The armrests sides are made from two frames of of ply wood, but the top (where you push against to get up out of the chair) is thin cardboard and collapses very easy.
I wish I had purchased Flexsteel (or even Lane) instead of this cheap garbage.
I have Flexsteel furniture that has lasted over 18 years, and although it is starting to get 'slightly' fabric worn, the quality of build and health of it's frame/springs/mechanisms is perfect, and overall ..... far superior to this Berkline crap.
But don't take my word for it, go see the Flexsteel and look under it to see how it's built, then do the same with a Berkline product.
Lesson learned: look before you leap ........ or just don't leap.
Never Berkline again unless I can sit in, operate, look under and touch the 'actual' piece I'm buying.
Flyer91,
I do not quite understand why you have posted this in the power buy thread and have not instead started a separate one, but in any case, I would strongly recommend contacting the dealer who you purchased your recliners from. I am sure they will take care of any problems you may have with your recliners.
To comment on your findings with the build quality - most of their recliners are built quite well, and while once in a while hiccups happen (I am sure it happens with any other manufacturers as well), it is usually not a common thing. It looks like you were unlucky, and pretty much most of your order was handled badly.
BTW, I have my Berkline recliners for over 6 years, and they still look like new, and I have had no problems with them whatsoever, not even one...
While the Berkline is not your Rolls Royce of the Home Theater Seating you are not paying $2-3K per chair either. Calling it “this Berkline crap” would not be fair. I know you are upset; I would be if my chairs came in such bad shape, but your dealer should be able to take care of every little thing you are not happy about.
Folks,
For those who were waiting for the 12000s - the container arrived today, and all the orders are being scheduled for a pickup. I will email the tacking info to everyone as soon as I have it.
NSXLuvr 03-19-09, 11:33 PM Sorry but I have a dumb question: What is the difference between bonded and non bonded?
My HT will be ready tmrw and I don't have any seating. I will be calling you tmrw Roman.
Thanks.
NSXLuvr,
There are no dumb questions. The bonded leather is a new material that is made of leather meshed and ground together with some synthetic components and then stretched into a new cover. I personally did not like the original bonded leather that came out a couple of year ago because of it vinylish look and feel. The new generation of bonded leather that I saw at the market last fall was truly amazing. The cover looked and felt like buttery soft almost lamb skin leather. This cover is also non-scratchable and because of added synthetic components could hold up better than leather. There are several patterns of bonded leather that the Berkline offers - 75062 (old one) and 76067 (new one).
heebdawg16 03-20-09, 02:42 PM I'm getting so excited for my delivery from Roman for the two 12003's I ordered! The delivery company called and set up my delivery for this coming Tuesday, although I am going to call and see if they can switch me to Wednesday instead, since I am off work Wednesday already.
As promised, I will be posting pictures and my thoughts on the chairs. Mine are black bonded leather, so I will let you all know how the bonded leather feels as well.
Please do post some pictures and your opinion.
Thanks
BIGmouthinDC 03-22-09, 12:40 PM Flyer: It sounds like you did run into some bad juju with the chairs you received.
I have now had my Berkline 45099s since April of 2005. I have no bad motors, no bad seams, no loose sections, no oozing glue, no cardboard construction problems, no over-stuffing and no regrets.
I do believe that Berkline is outsourcing select models to China and perhaps your model chair came from a factory that is not living up to the Berkline standards and you need to bring it to their and your dealers attention as I would not accept the chairs in the condition you describe.
I'm posting this question to the thread since I received a "mailbox is full" auto-reply from Roman's service provider.
My Berkline 12003's are scheduled for curbside delivery tomorrow. Question: Are the seats boxed individually so they can be easily moved with a hand truck?
Sorry Dennis,
We had a problem with our email server - it is fixed now. To answer your question - each chair comes in its own box with the back off, and yes, it can be moved with the hand truck.

I ordered a "row" of two seats, they were boxed individually. The boxes are pretty darn huge, to make them fit better you can easily open the box and carry in the back of the chair separately, and then take the base out and carry that through separately as well. Thats what I had to do to get them into my house, and I have a standard sized door/entry way. But yes, you can easily handtruck the boxes around, jsut make sure you have someone help you because those boxes don't fit.

Just to keep everyone updated, my chairs arrived about two hours ago through Old Dominion Freight Line (the carrier). One word of warning to people who are ordering, like most other freight lines, this is a "front steps" delivery, and not a "through the door" delivery. I tried to tip the guy extra money, even $20 to help me get them inside, but he played by his rules and said he is not allowed to accept tips or enter the customers house. Just note, I am NOT complaining about this, and I commend the guy for following his employers rules, not many people do these days.
Just letting you all know this as a warning, so you can be prepared on delivery, not a complaint. I don't know if Roman offers some kind of extra "through the door" shipping option, I never thought about it or asked him. But, with the help of a neighbor who luckily happened to be home, I was able to get both of the chairs inside my basement. I had to head back to work after that, and I didn not have time to inspect the chairs or put them together, but hopefully I will get to that tonight or tomorrow night!
I will be patiently awaiting pictures as I'm considering the exact same setup that you ordered.
Folks,
To clarify delivery options - we are offering 4 types of delivery services:
1. Curb side delivery - one driver who will need help of the customer to remove the boxes from the truck. Boxes are not brought inside. The gate lift is available for extra charge.
2. Two men delivery to first dry area. The boxes will be brought into your garage or house.
3. Two men delivery to the room of your choice.
4. White glove delivery. The boxes will be brought into the room of your choice. The chairs will be unpacked and set up, and the debris will be taken away.
In most cases the customers want to least expensive delivery option. It does not necessarily mean that it would be curb side delivery. Sometimes depending on weight and destination 2 men delivery to first dry area is less expensive. We are trying to offer the least expensive option as many of you want that, but we can also provide any above mentioned delivery services for extra charge.

I will try as best I can to get them up. We just moved into a new house, we're currently redoing all of the flooring and carpet, and as of right now the ONLY piece of furniture in the entire house are these two chairs hahaha. I will see if I can get them set up in the next few days, but I make no promises. I can tell you from me peeking under the packaging that the chair looks nice and smooth :D. I didn't even get to touch the bonded leather yet, but visually it looked like leather to me during the 5 second glance I took.

Good to know. If I may recommend, I would definitely atleast offer some of the other shipping options at the time of purchase, because I would have gladly paid a little extra to have someone bring the chairs into my house for me. They are very hard to carry by yourself, even outside of the box!
Understood.
BTW we always recommend to have 2 people carrying the recliners.
Roman...I called your shop four times today and got a recorder each time is this typical that you must leave message and you call back?
Minge,
Sometimes I step out, sometimes I have to go to installation, but I always return my calls as soon as I get back. I did not get any messages from you, and I was here from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and all the time after 3 p.m. eastern time. Feel free to call me now or later...
Roman,
Your website mentions pickup from NJ warehouse. What part of NJ? Do you have any sort of showroom or facility there too? Someplace where I could try them out? I'm in NY.
I haven't found Berkline dealers nearby so far. I have one or 2 more places to check out still, but I have doubts already..
Bholio,
Yes, we have a warehouse in Bridgewater, NJ. I have the following recliners on the floor there:
Berkline
12000
12003
12006
13174
13175
13217
Private Collection Seating
3033 - Ovations
3013 - Main Street
3073 - Santa Fe.
You are welcome to come and they them out.
Contact me off line, and I will email you the address of the warehouse.
I went to a local Berkline dealer and my favorite chair by far was a chair made by Berkline for Brunswick! Would you have access to those chairs and more specifically the Broadway series..
Minge,
Do you have a link to those recliners?
http://www.brunswickbilliards.com/brunswick_collection/furniture/theater_seating/index.html
Looks like Berkline made these exclusively for them. The Broadway recliners do look like they have a base (seat/armrests) from the Berkline 45090, which is a base model for many recliners - 45094, 45187, 13174, etc... They made a different back, though, to make sure that it is different and "unique".
I do not believe you will be able to find/buy these anywhere but though authorized Brunswick dealers. Sorry, but I am not one of them.
It is the back that made them, while they were very comfy and supported your head as well the back was not too high as to block the surround speakers.
Minge,
The Berkline has quite a few groups that can possibly be as comfortable if not better. If you can find the 45025, 45002, 45014 recliners I would strongly suggest trying them - these are extremely comfortable and have power headrest that will allow to adjust your head support in any reclining position.
That is the problem, I cant find these and I will not buy anything without sitting in them first..I will keep looking.
Understood.
BTW we always recommend to have 2 people carrying the recliners.
I'll agree with that. I "horsed" the seat with no arms and the two seats with one arm up fourteen stairs to the bonus room by myself. I'm feeling it today and will wait for a friend to come over and help me with the chair with two arms.
heebdawg16 03-27-09, 01:43 PM Ugh, this is killing me!
Every day I go over to our new house after work to get some more work done around the house (so we can move in!), and I see my Berkline 12003's sitting there, brand new and unopened, and I keep getting impatient to open them and set them up. Unfortunately, our new carpet isn't coming until April 9th now, so they are going to be staying boxed up for another two weeks :o(

Oh: My girlfriend and I have have already "broken in" the love-seat section!

Let's try keeping this thread clean and relevant.

derambe 03-30-09, 06:18 PM Thanks for posting the pics! Those look great, how do they feel?
P.S. Your screen looks like mine, did you paint it on?
Ratnrol 03-31-09, 02:04 AM My 12000's that I ordered from Roman finally arrived today. I arranged shipping to Canada myself. I was really nervous when the truck pulled up and the boxes appeared to have forklift blade holes in them. Each box had a minimum of one hole in them that could be a sign of damage. Even the driver was concerned. After ripping open all the boxes, the chairs appear to be fine. whew!
I ordered a 4 seat curved configuration. I am happy with these chairs so far. The sound (described in other threads as "farting") is quite noticeable. I am going to find a thread that I read on this forum on ways to deaden this.
These came with the bonded leather and I have no regrets. They feel great.
Roman was very helpful and answered a LOT of questions prior to purchasing. I would purchase from him again.
Here are a few shots. Couldn't figure out how to get rid of the dust specks in the pics though...
Thanks for posting the pics! Those look great, how do they feel?
P.S. Your screen looks like mine, did you paint it on?
The bonded leather is very soft and the seats are comfortable. I'm really enjoying the smooth, power recline.
The screen is an Elite ezFrame in CineWhite.
The sound (described in other threads as "farting") is quite noticeable. I am going to find a thread that I read on this forum on ways to deaden this.
My 12003's make the same sound so I went back and looked for the thread with ideas on how to soften the noise; however, I could not find it. If you do locate the info, please post it here.
derambe 03-31-09, 04:57 PM I remember reading it, they said to put baby powder on them between the chairs.
"Many Berkline recliners that come in leather/vinyl combo or bonded leather/vinyl combo will produce a squeaking sound. It all depends how close the seating cushion is to the armrest. Try not to push the chairs together too close. Also some people use baby powder to eliminate the noise. You can also try finding a product from Stain Safe called Leather Revitalizer." from Roman.
Folks,
Just a reminder that the Power Buy will be running for another week only.
We will do PB Prize drawings after that.
SpeedracerII 04-05-09, 05:26 AM rdc.... what are those round silver dots infront of the cup holders?
Evidently, I do not have enough posts to attach photos so here are links to photos of the 12003's ordered from Roman.

SpeedracerII 04-05-09, 05:29 AM Roman,
Are you able to order these in the 3-seat sofa configuration with no middle armrests? Does this allow the middel seat to also be a power recliner?
Thanks.
SpeedracerII,
The silver slots are to accommodate the trays. None of the imported groups (the ones that start with "1") have left facing armrest recliners - "IO". That means that you cannot do just a 3 seat couch - IOOOI. You must have to have a two arm recliner on the left facing side to start your configuration. After that you can have a loveseat, couch, etc...
For example you can have:
IOIOOI
IOIOOIOI
IOIOOOI
IOVOOI
etc...
The armless recliners will have a power recline control on the rite side of the seat.

Damn, looks like I'll have to wait until the next PB (hopefully there's another one) as I won't be ready until closer to the end of April :(
becks,

I've got a question regarding velvet seats:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1137247
snap007 04-09-09, 01:35 AM I'm considering either the 12000 or 12003. The room is exactly 128" wide. Looking at the specs for the 12000, if I get the following |0|00|0| it's 128". Do you think I could squeeze it in or is it better to go with a |0|00| in the 12003?

Not Roman, but 128" wide room would really be cutting it close IMHO. I have the 12003's in a |0|00|0| configuration and just measured it at 127.25" at visually the widest point (the online brochure lists the configuration at 130").
Maybe you should consider the 13175's... |0|00|0| is listed at 116" wide (the arms are narrower than the 12000 or 12003's). Give Roman a call or an email...he'll be happy to help you select the right chair for your needs.
Chim,
I would advise against velvet. I strongly believe that while it gives you a very nice rich look it does not wear well, and in quite a bit the chairs will lose their appeal. The Berkline has many very nice and extremely soft fabrics. I would recommend 30008-78. While it is not velvet, it is very nice looking and soft fabric - one of my favorites. The 78 is very rich light burgundy color
Snap007,
I would not recommend IOIOOIOI unless you go with the smaller footprint recliners like 13175 or 12006 as rdc919 mentioned. Even if you can fit the configuration, you room will be too busy, but the most important - you want your chairs be t least 2-3 feet away from all walls for a proper surround sound. I know it is not always doable, but cramping the chairs in a small room could give you bad result. I would probably go with the 3 seat configuration...
snap007 04-09-09, 01:51 PM Thanks for the responses. Another room size question to maximize seating.. room is 15'9" long - any opinions if that's long enough to fit two rows of 3? I'll be using an epson 6500 UB which was just purchased and is not mounted yet. I was hoping for a screen size around 90-100".
Quite a small room for 2 rows, unless you go with the screen that is less than 90"...
Folks.
Just a reminder - we have only 3 more days of the power buy...

Jeff Smith 04-12-09, 12:37 PM Roman, any word on when the current order of Private Collection Main Streets will be in? I may have missed it if you posted it, but last I heard was April, maybe May.
Jeff,
I will know more about the Private Collection Seating next shipment in about a week or so. So far it does not look like they will make April.
As soon as I know more info, I will email to everyone who is expecting their chairs from new shipment.
Fabricator 04-12-09, 11:59 PM hello, mr Roman
i am looking at the 12006, brown, 2 of them. is it possible to get some good pics of the brown ? the ones i see online, well, i am thinking they are not accurate. thanx
Fabricator,
Yes, it is possible. Email me - sales@rtheaters.com and I will reply with the picture of the swatch.
heebdawg16 04-13-09, 10:23 AM So when is the prize drawing happening? :o)
Keeping my fingers crossed for a rug or popcorn machine!
Also, this is the week I finally get to unbox my chairs! They are still sitting in boxes in the back of my basement, almost 3 weeks after being delivered. We finally are getting our new carpet installed and can start putting our new furniture out in the basement.
The drawings will be done in about 2 - 3 days, and I will post the results in a separate thread as usually.
SuperiorBrew 04-20-09, 10:54 PM Just got our 4 Berkline 45025's in 7077-29 Black today. Roman went above and beyond in answering all my questions and made several suggestions I would not have even thought of. I ended up saving enough to pay for the 4 factory mounted Buttkickers to boot.
Thanks again Roman.

I got a pair of 12003's in brown. I'll try to post some pics in a couple of days. Does anyone know how to "lock" the one arm to the two arm? My one arm one slides around a bit and locking them together would make it harder to slide.
George,
I would put some rubber isolators (replace the existing plastic feet). That may help preventing sliding of the chairs. You can also get the fasteners and attach them to the sides of the armrests and lock one chair into another.
heebdawg16 04-21-09, 01:15 PM Just an update...
After "owning" my two 12003's for now over a MONTH, I was FINALLY able to unpack them and set them up yesterday!!!!
I purchased two black bonded-leather 12003's in an IOIOI configuration from Roman, who was able to rearrange his stock and ship them to me immediately. These were going in the basement of our new house in my non-dedicated theater room, and I received the chairs about 8 days after placing my order, which I felt was VERY quick for a furniture delivery.
Unfortunately, the chairs had to be immediately moved into the unfinished workroom part of our basement, where they sat in the boxes for over a month. We had ripped up the old carpet, and the new carpet we ordered was severely delayed by the installer, and was just installed late last week.
But anyways, last night I finally unpacked my chairs and set them up. The chairs are in perfect condition, and look absolutely gorgeous. The power recline is quiet and smooth, and the chairs are incredibly comfortable. The build quality on the chairs feels very high, everything seems incredibly sturdy. I was also much more impressed with the bonded leather than I was expecting to be. Visually, it looks almost exactly like 100% leather...the only difference, if you are really looking for it, is that it looks very "smooth", whereas most leather looks a little bit more textured. However, I feel like this may be partly because the chairs are brand new and not worn or creased at all, and after a few uses, the unnatural smoothness will probably fade to the point where it looks 100% like real leather. It is also very comfortable to sit in, the bonded leather is soft and feels great up against the skin. Definitely impressed with it, and based on my first impressions, I wouldn't hesitate to buy more furniture in the same covering.
Also, the 12003's come with a storage compartment in each armrest, as well as a Tray Table that comes out and you can attach into a special metal plug on each arm. I was surprised to see how easy it was to drop them in and use them, and even more surprised at how sturdy the plastic tray was when connected. I would have no worries about using it to support any fully loaded plate of food or snack, and it spins around and is very convenient. The top of the tray is a plastic, marbled looking fake wood, which would be my only complaint...I would much prefer if the tray table was just all black. But, still, VERY satisfied with the quality of the mounting mechanism and the sturdiness of the tray. A nice feature that you can't find on any other Berkline.
So, glad to report all is well with the chairs, and I am officially a fully satisfied customer. The ONE THING I wish the chairs had, is a way to connect the power from one recliner into the other recliner, and kind of daisy-chain them so that you only need to put one plug into the wall. I looked all over the bottom of the chairs, but saw no plug to do this. Roman, if you have any input to Berkline, mention this to them!
I have rubber isolators but they still slide. Which fasteners are you talking about? I'll look into getting those.

The Berkline uses fasteners on the imported groups, but only curved configurations come with those.
Contact me off line, and I will help you out getting them...

I have four 12003's in a IOIOOIOI configuration and ran the power cords underneath all four chairs to one of the end chairs. From there, I placed a power strip under the end chair and ran the power strip cord to the wall (only cord that is visible).
I also wish the tables were black instead of the brown faux wood.

Roman, where is the separate thread posting the results of the power-buy drawings? Can you please provide a link
Thanks!
It is actually somewhere in the middle of Theater Room Items & Accessories 1st page of threads. Here is a direct link: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1140583
