Is there anyway to turn off the menu thing that appears when you change channels on a TWC box? The one that linges at the bottom third of the screen for like 5 seconds after you change the channel.

I looked through all the menu options and didnt see anything that would obviously turn it off. Tried calling Customer Service, but gave up after being on hold for 20+ minutes.

My parents hate and it keep asking me to remove it for them.

Not as far as I know. :( I don't mind it....just gotta get used to it.

What cable box do you have. On some TWC boxes you can set the time the banner is shown.
