Im about to pull the trigger on the SVS. It winds up being about 200$ cheaper. My room is 21x15x9 50/50 HT/Music. Is there that much of a difference in performance that justifies the cost difference? Will I regret not getting the Hsu?

I doubt you will regret not getting the HSU. The 3.3 may have a slight advantage with music. The 3.3 goes on sale fairly often. If you really want the 3.3, wait till it goes on sale again. It was just on sale (10% off) for a month or so.

With shipping and the discount it is still 200$ more than the svs. If there is not much difference to the ear of a newbie I would rather save the cash.

I dunno if anyone has compared them side x side. The last comparisons were with an older Nsd driver. If Svs the nsd driver was improved in the musical area? Dunno. But I belive the Svs still will sound good with music. What are your mains? Is $200 saving worth it to you for close performance with music?

I have Def Tech SM450s as front, ProMon 800s as rears and Procenter 2000.

The money isnt an issue. Will I get 200$ more worth of sound.

I started with a Prosub 600...say 250$, then upgraded to Prosub 1000 for 375. The difference was very noticeable for the 125$ upgrade, but still wasnt what I was looking for. So if the difference between the PB12-NSD vs the Hsu wouldnt be that noticeable I will just go with the SVS.

i THINK SVS PB-12 is back ordered till 11th March(before it was 3rd march). I called them they said, even that date is not very accurate and its not fully guaranteed on 11th march, shipping.

yea he said late next week. No big deal to me.... maybe ill wait till next week to actually submit the order, maybe a few more responses from people might persuade me to go a different way.

I think the Pb12 will sound pretty good. Especially for HT. It will do well with music. Post your impressions if you get it. I have 2 Pb10 and they sound good to me. I have an Epik Valor also and it sound better but I really can't tell unless I compare them. My listening isn't that crucial. And I still like Mp3
