hello guys

im looking for a media streamer to play files stored on my Windows XP desktop.Im a tvix 6500A owner its good in playing almost every kind of file but doesn't do a very goog job in playing files thru my wired network.
Thats why im looking for a good media streamer.
This is want i want:
.able to play most of the files/codecs.
.should have both wired and wireless connection.
.usb port to hook up external hard drives just like tvix box.
.S-Video and composite output (HDMI output would be nice but not neccessary)

i was looking at D-Link DSM510 and DSM520.
Does that suit my needs???. Any help will be much appreciated.

Also is there any media streamer with really good video refresh rate that can let you browse website and play youtube videos without any shutter or lag???

Any reason you're not looking into the Popcorn Hour? Sounds like it covers all of your needs.

If the media you want to stream is HD in nature, then you may want to look for something like PCH or WDTV. Streaming 720p/1080p over wireless is not advisable, way too much hang ups and stuttering ( FF/RW will be PITA)

I use to stream movies from my Desktop to my LCD ( DLNA compliant). Ever since i bought the WD HD TV, i never looked back.

thanks everyone who replied here.
---Would popcorn hour support ad-hoc network ??is there any usb adapter available for wireless connection to play non-HD files from the PC if i create an ad-hoc network?
IF NOT would i be able to surf by providing a static ip and gateway/ DNS by connecting it to a internet enabled machine thru cross-over cable (i mean thru a wired connecion)??
---also what is saya tv and is it free to watch those channel??

--does it really support (usb powwered) external hard drives of 250/320GB without requiring additional power??

i 'll appreciate your help.
