I have a Velodyne F1500 sub and am looking at a Velodyne HGS15BGII sub. I can only find specs on the HGS15X which has a 1250 watt rms amp compared to my 250 watt amp in my F1500. Can anyone verify what size amp is on the HGS15BGII? Thanks.
Michael
I believe the HGS, HGS II and HGS X all used the 1250 watt amp. I wouldn't be too hung up on the power. It is really spl, extension and distortion you are after. I used to own a Mirage BPS-400 (400 watt amp) and it played louder and deeper than my HGS 12x. I can tell you that I immensely enjoy my HGS 12x (used for 2 ch music) - it has very controlled bass.

Thanks. I ended up buying it tonight. I only was able to play with it literally for a few minutes but it definitely has more authority and punch than my F1500 and yes, it does have a 1250 watt amp.
