I just purchased and hooked up this TV and I'm having one problem thats very irritating to me. I have the TV hooked up to my cable box via HDMI. When viewing HD programing part of the picture is cut off. For example on the history channel the logo is almost off the screen.

I've read the manual, cant find any reference to this, tried changing every setting on both the cable box and tv, but I can't figure it out. The weird thing is that when I bring up the menu on my cable box the picture fits(behind the menu box, the actual programing) but as soon as I exit it seems to zoom slightly so that some content is off screen.

Any ideas/suggestions??

its prolly just how the channel is, the cable company may be excessively overscanning the picture

on the tv the 2 things that could effect this is the wide button on the remote
(controls picture stretching modes)

and also check under screen in the XMB and try changing the display area setting to full pixel, this will set the tv to display everything that is on the incoming video signal 1:1 pixel ratio, by default all tv's have a certian amount of overscan so you dont see strange things at the edges of the screen on broadcasts esp SD broadcasts
