Is anyone familiar with Fab-Trax fabric track? I'm looking for something to use on inside corners between the wall panels and columns. The other track systems I've seen like fabricmate are one piece and the plastic edge that hooks to the latch and is left exposed. This is a two piece design that has a hidden edge and is supposedly easier to install. The down side is that it's more expensive and only available in beige. Will a light colored track will show through GOM fabric?

I have seen this used in commercial settings. If I was to start over, I would look very closely at this. The beige does not appear to show through.
What's wrong with the fabricmate track? They have types that allow the fabric to be stretched over and attached at the base.

What type would that be? I didn't see anything that would hide the track lip on an inside corner.
I thought the Fab-Trax was more expensive but it comes in longer lengths than the Fabricmate track.
Fab-Trax 1" square profile 8.5' $25.30 = $2.97ft
Fabricmate 1" FS150 square profile 5' $14.75 = $2.95ft
I myself think they are both way over priced

I agree. That's why the only place I'm using it is on one side of an inside corner to hide the staples. If it were cheaper I'd use it for all the panels.

I used Fabricmate. While mostly happy, they had a batch of track that was all but impossible to slide fabric in to. And if you needed to join two pieces of fabric, forget it. When I asked about the issue, I was not real happy with the response, especially for the price.
Here is the response I received:
"We are looking into the tight fitting piece. It is tougher on the shoulder"
I will be giving away my extra track at some point - much of it is the tight fitting track.

amen!
That being said, I still plan on using them. The way I figure it is that I only need to buy them once to finish up the room. I will look for ways to save home much I use, but not if it involved making a ton of frames.

You can also check with www.questai.com. They have track as well and can do inside corners. I don't know how their pricing compares with the others noted above.

Thanks for the link. They also make 2" track which in some application helps skip you a step.
