I bought the DVE HD Basics disk for Bluray to calibrate my PS3 with projector combo, but it doesn't have any colour patterns (windowed blue, red, green, cyan, yellow, magenta).
Is there any other way to get 1080p (or even 720p) colour patterns to display on the PS3?

Joe you may want to try this disk (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=948496) I use it and it works well.

There are SMPTE color bars that can be used for color measurements. Of course, you need a meter that you can setup so you KNOW it is measuring just 1 color and is not being influenced by neighboring colors. If the meter has a viewfinder, that's easy. If there's no viewfinder, it can be more of a chore.
It takes a REALLY good meter to read color accurately though - most of the modestly priced meters AVS members are using are OK for grayscale, but when measuring color they are way off. The problem is, you take a measurement and get nothing back from the meter that indicates the reading is inaccurate... you don't know the meter is making inaccurate color readings.
