Friend of mine got this thing for Xmas. A 24 inch lcd monitor of dubious design. Half of the time it's his pc monitor, and the other half he uses it as his Xbox 360 display.
Right away, I noticed a problem. The monitor tends to skip frames when displaying the 360's video. About once per 3/4ths of a second, the video jerks. My friend has told me that the monitor is for some reason choosing to lock at 59Hz, even though the output from the 360 (via HDMI) is most definitely 60Hz. Playing the same 360 on several other HDMI-capable displays produces no such issue.
This is a pretty annoying thing to see in action. If it had been me, I'd have had that monitor boxed up and shipped back in a heartbeat. But we're stuck with it now. So mainly I'm hoping for some recommendations for a possible solution, or at least some "yeah, me too" comments. Since this isn't an especially ubiquitous display, I've had zero luck simply Googling for answers.
Thanks in advance.
