Hi all,
Which Backlight & Contrast setting, for Xbox360, gives a better picture?
1. Backlight at 5, Contrast at 95
or
2. Backlight at 8, Contrast at 85 (It's the standard setting)
They look very similar. I can't decide which looks better. Nr.1 looks more 3-Dimensional, but Nr.2 has a slightly better sharpness on textures.
Why does Nr.1 look more 3D and Nr.2 sharper? Is there an explanation for this?
What's the usual way to set the contrast?
A mid/low Backlight with high/max Contrast or a high Backlight with mid/low Contrast.
Edit:
Just found out, there are defenently details lost on 90 - Max Contrast.
I've never recognized this with any Calibration DVD.
I just saw this on LOST. The sun shined on/trough Juliet's blond hair. With Contrast 85 it looked fine, with Contrast above 90 there were missing textures of her hair.
