I am using a SA 4250 hdc with Time Warner Cable on a Sony 40" LCD. My diagnostics are always between -3dbmv to maybe +1 or +2 dbmv. S/N is between 35 to 37. I also am using a SA 8300 hdc on a STD TV. Same signal levels. Where the difference is is on the SA 8300 HDC I show no corrected bytes or uncorrected blocks. However, on the 4250 I am seeing corrected bytes but 0 uncorrected blocks. Is the signal okay if I am only getting corrected bytes with none being uncorrected? On the one box (8300)I am getting 0 and 0. What could be causing this if the signal diagnostics are within a decent range, which I believe they are.
Having a problem? If not... why worry? :)

I seem to get pixelization on some of the HD channels. Not a lot but some of the channels are worse than others. I understand with cable and all their compression it's gonna happen but I just want to be sure I am getting the best picture possible. Plus I was just curious if I should be getting any uncorrected bytes at all. If this is normal.
You will not see any picture artifacts if you are getting 0 uncorrected blocks. That said, I would not expect a lot of corrected blocks if the signal strength is good. Perhaps it is a wiring issue in your house. If you could swap the position of the boxes that might help.
Cable is unlikely to diagnose problems inside your house unless you pay them to do it.
