My WDTV can play back most dvd rips - backups ;) - without any problem, but I have some videos which cannot be played back: unsupported format.
These videos are typically made by my sony dvd handycam. It does not matter if I just copy the video_ts folder or create an iso image.

BUT!
As soon as I rename the video_ts folder to something else it works just fine!
