Hi guys.
I've searched a lot about this question, but haven't seen a lot of people trying to do what I'm thinking about:
I was thinking I would build frames that would sort of look like beveled columns to the left and right of my screen - floor to ceiling - where the left and right speakers (and sub) are. Also one frame to cover the couple of feet underneath my screen (where the center channel speaker is).
My plan was to cover these frames with GOM FR701 (black), and pull it tight enough to make it look like a fabric column wall, unless you look really closely at it. I got some samples of FR701 from Fabricmate after doing some research here, but it looks like such a loose weave, I'm worried that it will be relatively see-through. I can paint the area behind the cloth black (or a dark color), but will it look like a denser weave once it's stretched on the frame? I don't want to buy all the material only to find out it doesn't look the way I imagine it. Anyone have any experience with what I'm trying?
Thanks!
