Any problems after cablevision triple package install. I have cablevision internet and cable for 13 yrs and now going to take their phone service. How do you like the phone service through them. It is scarry because for 58 years I always had fat&t and then verizon phone copper wire service, but between cell phone internet and phone cervice it is like paying another rent.

I was going to go to fios, but I dont like their boxes as the sa-8300 dvr is so much better than motorolla dvr. The bottom line after first year the costs of both al almost the same. My dvr kept rebooting with 3 dvr, but the problem was never the dvr, but a bas hdmi port on my tv.

The only issue you might encounter is during a power loss - unlike POTS, the VOIP service depends on power being available to work. Make sure all parts of the system (router, VOIP box, etc) have some backup power source.

...or just use your cell phone during a power loss.

You may also have trouble with 'Collect' calls. A lot of internet based phone systems don't allow you to accept them.
