Alright for those who know of my last post you know that I found a solution to transfer quality through the use of a fire wire. What I did was transfered the video from the camcorder directly to a DVD Recorder. Great quality. Ripped DVD. File had same quality, no loss. Edit and Render in Sony Vegas Pro and boom! Huge quality loss. If I render it as a full blown avi I think it looks ok but... you cant burn a 20 gig file. I render as Mpeg 2 which I thought was DVD Format(... is it not?) and the quality goes to hell. Nothing I seem to render looks good and I just dont understand it. I mean this isn't some crappy freeware program. Any suggestions? Any Help?!? This has been such a nightmare. I appreciate everyone who can offer some advice.
