I have searched high and low and looked at over 20 nmts/or whatever they are called(?) but they all use the old SMP8635 chip.
Does anyone know when we can expect units with the new chip? Have there been any announcements?
Oh and out of the 20+ units I've looked into the best IMO is the HDX 1000 running PCH A-110 firmware.

I think it takes about 6 months 'till we see the first MediaTanks/Players around this SMP864x chip appearing on the market.
I hope NMT will be the first with a new eGreat or Popcorn Hour model. We'll see... ;)

yeah I heard on mpcclub that the next gen PCH is expected at the end of the first quarter 2009 - I was wondering when TVIX might introduce their next gen 864x player. I did not realize that production began in Dec 2008
