In the past, I know folks had issues with their PS3's not being able to connect to the internet due to compatibilty issus. I believe this router from Netgear was one of those that did NOT work with the PS3. Some of these posts I read are also very old and date back to 2006. Has this issue been fixed? Is it ok to get this router with the PS3?

Does anybody own this router?
Works just fine, a friend and I both have it.

Same here, no issues with mine, although I'm not specifically using an 80 gig PS3, I'm using a 60 gig from around launch time...

Yeah, mine works just fine with both my Xbox 360 and PS3, although it did take a little configuration experimentation to get it working optimally with the Xbox. PS3 was never any kind of problem.

You should have no problem with it. Update your firmware then reboot. Set your PS3 network settings to default and start from scratch. Once the router is broadcasting the PS3 should detect your network no problem.

That's all I needed to know, thank you!

My only caveat is that not everyone does WPA2-PSK the same way (AES and TKIP modes). You'll notice there are potentially up to 3 choices for WPA2-PSK: AES, TKIP, and mixed mode (AES and TKIP). Mixed mode usually results in problems for the ps3, wireless bridges, etc. but work great for laptops. Usually all of them work fine if you use TKIP mode, but it's also the weaker mode compared to AES.
You'll have to experiment around a little if it doesn't work right away, but don't get discouraged.
