Hi folks,

i bought one of the new Mac Minis and want to use it as media center connected to my (old) Samsung PS-42E7H Plasma TV (without "just scan" option).

The main problem was (is), that the TV doesn't show the whole mini desktop.
By now I've spent one and a half day to find the right settings for SwitchresX.
It looks much better now, but is not perfect.

Maybe 2cm from the top menubar and approx. 4cm from the left (right side looks good) are still missing. Whatever front- or back porch settings I use, the picture looks as it looks before. I've tested settings with really extremely different values. I expected that the image will change it's horizontal position, but nothing happened.

The vertical adjustment worked fine except for this missing 2cm of the menubar.

Any ideas why the horizontal moving doesn't work?

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

Turn off "overscan" on your TV.
