I haven't done it but if you sign into the UK Sony site with even your US PSN ID, it can be setup and they update the trophies/current games playing and even new friend list feature.

simply go here and sign up with any PSN ID you got

I heard not for a while, they had the Trophies stuff in the UK site way before the NA site
