I have a Sharp LC52D64U 52" Aquos LCD HDTV. I hooked it up with a HDMI cable….. It looks great put too much red. I looked at MANY posts but not sure if the 46” is the same as the 52” settings. PLEASE HELP! It’s starting to drive me CRAZY!

Go pay a professional to come in and fix it.

It's going to take a lot of research and some hardware to even really start on fixing the issue. If you aren't excited about the thought of learning about color spaces and how shifted primaries effect the target luminance of individual colors, seriously just go hire a professional to come in and do it right.

Before I do that I would like to try to get it right myself. Do you have any ideas/settings I could try?

go buy Avia II for DVD or DVE HD basics for blu-ray and use the blue filters to set your color correctly. Also my brothers sharp the warmest setting was a touch too warm although the setting above that was too cool as far as color temp goes.

If you want to really flatten your greyscale, you need a meter, software and a hunk knowledge. And for sharps you really need a programble remote and the HEX code to enter the service menu from the remote as the manual way of entering the service mode requires unplugging the set.

Thank you gentlemen I will get the Avia II DVD and go from there. I don’t know who to call (if that doesn’t work) to make the adjustments. I called a couple local stores and they don’t offer that service……

Black and white only
I recently purchased a 52" sharp aquos led. I'm new here and hope I am ok posting my questions here.

Problem 1. When I hook up a DVD player, wii, or anything into my rca I only see it in black and white.

Problem 2. The cable co said it wud be a week before they cud get here so I bought a digital antenna and I can't get anything but static. Also if I try to turn the channel it says "no imput selection available".

Please please send any advise my way! Thanks!

I don't know how technically inclined you are...but paying a professional to adjust your color saturation for a tv you just purchased seems like jumping the gun.
You can try one or both of these two options:

First:

press menu on your remote control, then under "picture" scroll down and highlight "advanced". In the advanced portion of the menu, go to "CMS- Saturation" At this point, go to the color red, and begin to reduce the setting, until red seems correct to you, or no longer bothers you. The CMS control will allow you to adjust the saturation of specific primary and secondary colors. If red seems pushed or overblown, this where you fix it.

Secondly, or instead:

Simply go into the picture settings and reduce the color control, all though this will lower the saturation of all colors of course. Using the first method will probablly work out better for you.

The great thing about these Sharp sets is every control your heart desires is in the user menu.

No need to pay anyone yet. Your not talking about having your set completely calibrated, your just talking about fixing a red push. (I assume).
