Hello everyone,

I just purchased a new Canon HG21. I took some test footage and was extremely excited to get all of my test footage into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 but I can't manage to get the video off the camera?

ImageMixer 3 SE Ver.3 was bundled with the HG21, but I am running Windows Vista Ultimate x64. I don't think this is compatible with the ImageMixer 3 SE Ver.3 software?

This seems a bit ludicrous as I assume a lot of people who would be editing video would want to take advantage of the quad core processors / x64 bit windows.

In the manual it says not to touch anything on the video camera through windows explorer as you can cause HD problems on the camera, and you are only allowed to use the ImageMixer 3 SE Ver.3 software to import video from the HG21.

So as you can see I am at a loss, I have no idea how to get the footage off the camera :(:(:(

Any help is greatly appreciated, I hope there is a driver update or something similar so I can start using my footage!!

Thanks.

How about just opening the folder and dragging the clips into windows.

DrMatthias - ImageMixer 3SE DOES NOT support x64Vista...You're SOL like me on one computer...luckily my work laptop is XP so I just use that to import...Besides the application sucks!

You can still however use explorer to copy and paste from the "stream" folder of you cam HDD..I've done that along with many other vistax64 users and it works fine...

This works. I never installed the software that came with the camera. I just plugged it and the pc recognized it as an external hd.

And yes, I am using windows x64.

DrMatthias, did you try running it in Compatibility Mode?
