Is it a good idea to leave the UV filter on to protect the lens or can it cause solar flares between the filter and lens in some conditions?

i don't use a uv filter, but it is difficult to clean the lens on these canons without it, because the glass is buried inside a hole, lol

get a hood if you are worried about flaring.
