I got to get some PS3 game and I end up wondering around the 5 to 10 dollar games(PS2) area. It feels like I got most of the great games already though, so I can see that routine slowing down soon.

I've gotten some PS2 games off Goozex, but I haven't actually paid for a PS2 game in a long time.

Gamestop used $20. See em all the time. I buy used ps2 all the time for my PS3

Just played Kill.Switch for the first time yesterday at work. I might Goozex that one. I wish I had played that game when it came out.

quite a few of the stores around here have PS2 games for cheap, and if something catches my eye, i pick it up..I got the whole MGS series for $12 (of course it didn't include MGS4) when the collectors pack was $39.

I just played through God of War II. With the game set to progressive and with the PS3 smoothing turned off, the game looks pretty damn good. It's obvious that it's running at 480p, but they definitely got everything they could out of the PS2 with that game.

I play PS2 games. Not a lot, but some. I mainly have gotten games that I think I might be interested in playing on the PS3 when it comes out. That way I know a little bit more about the background of the game. Example: I played the first God of War. I enjoyed it, but not enough to purchase GOW III when it comes out. I just started Final Fantasy Xll. If I enjoy playing it, then I may eventually purchase the next FF release for PS3, whenever that'll be.

I didn't come into your threads to troll, I came in to see what they were about. And then I discovered they were worthless, like I should have expected. If you had half a sense you'd see that my posts are actually very positive towards you; but I guess I shouldn't use my big brain and make them so complex that you can't read between the lines?

Of course I still buy ps2 games. But not in a gaming store. I tend to buy stuff online. I really don't like all the stickers they slap over the cases in gaming stores. They can't be removed without leaving residue. Plus buying online I just tend to find easier and with a bigger selection.

For recent purchases I bought God of War 2 which I had never gotten around to playing. And I got the second and third Prince of Persia games which I'm playing right now. I've actually bought 15 ps2 games at least since I bought the ps3 And there's quite a few on my list for future purchases. If I find a game interesting and want to play it, I buy it. It doesn't matter whether its ps2 or ps3. I really can't see how anyone could ignore the ps2 library simply because the ps3 is out. There are lots of great games on it - Primal, Beyond Good & Evil, the Legacy of Kain's, Xenosaga's, Ratchet and Clanks, God Wars etc.

The last PS2 game I played was GoW II and it will likely be my last, unless I get the will to play FF XII at some point.

They do state the game might run slower but most people don't seem to mind it as it affects the entire game (i.e. not a intermittent frame rate slow down).

And to answer the original question I do buy PS2 games but just to catch up on story from previous versions of the games (i.e. GoW). I try to only get games that are progressive scan + widescreen just because they don't look so hot on my HDTV if they aren't. I would like to try Sly Cooper but I don't think it fulfills my criteria, unfortunately.

god of war 1,2. final fantasy 12. wrath of cortext. metal gear solid 2,3. all 4 splinter cell games. and resident evil 4. all ps2 games. i still play and enjoy them on my 60b ps3.

The only PS2 Game that I find myself replaying on my PS3 are GTA: Vice City & GTA: San Andreas .

GTA: Vice City is my favorite out of all of the GTA Games.

My 60GB system is broken (and it only played Japanese PS2 games anyway), but I have a PS2 and I still buy PS2 games. Last one I bought was Persona 4, and I have Samurai Shodown! Anthology (even though I bought the JP version last year, can't play it anymore) and Devil Summoner 2 preordered.

Duuude, Re-Volt is an awesome game. I remember playing that on the PC.

Smoothing helps man, it helps with AA
