Hey, first of all.. I really have no idea which forum this had to go in so mods, if you wish to move it to a more appropriate section, do so ! Thanks!

Now what I'm trying to do is to get video out (my tv is a 32LG30) from my TV..

I got both red and white rca Audio out ports.. but as most tv's , no video-out.

I'm trying to capture my TV screens to my computer.. I got to capture some xbox by connecting the xbox rca cables directly to my capture card and also my dvd player with rca+svideo to my capture card and all that worked..

But what I wanna do is really to stream directly from my TV ..
I got the audio to work.. but only audio!

If anybody knows how I can get this to work, i'd love to know! thanks :)

Ain't possible. TV's do not have video outs. You would need to hook your receiver up to your video card (I'm assuming you have a DVR of some sort...).

Most don't but some do. My two year old JVC 1080p LCD has composite and S-Video outputs (480i) in addition to stereo from RCA jacks and Dolby Digital from an optical port available when transmitted from an HD channel. The video has a 4:3 and 16:9 AR option. The optical audio isn't available from the HDMI inputs.

What is your video source? OTA? Satellite? Cable? Xbox? If you purchase a hauppauge HD PVR, you could capture HD video/audio over the component output from your antenna/sat receiver/cable box/xbox. Lots more info on this device over in the htpc forum.

well I'm just using simple OTA . and well i can already get everything from my xbox, dvd player etc... with my little EasyCap capture card..

It works wonders but still no video out..

What I did think about is.. (and might be for another section) I can get my hands on a Coolsat 6000 reciever. Can I use it and add my tv antenna on it and get some signals and have that through the recievers video outputs? without hooking it up to any satellite dish.. so just the reciever.. and the antenna.. will that work?
and if that works.. would the coolsat 6000 get DTV signals? thats what im really aiming most at...
Thanks for the answers!

The coolsat 6000 has composite, s-video and component video outputs. You can capture video with the composite or s-video outputs to your easy cap capture card. You'll need the HD pvr if you want HD captures. There is no way to add the OTA signal to the coolsat 6000. You will need two capture cards in your computer (1 for coolsat and 1 for OTA).

well if it has composite and s-video out..
and i plug in my antenna ..

doesnt that mean it would capture the OTA signals that goes into the coolsat?

or does the coolsat not get OTA at all? then why would there be an antenna in jack..?

The antenna input for the coolsat 6000 is for signal from a satellite dish not a tv antenna. The electronics are not designed to decode OTA signal...

Oh... well the hd recievers have ATSC tuners so they CAN get terrestrial DTV signals.. does that work from the dish too?

The two major satellite companies (Direct and Dish) have HD receivers/dvrs that can tune satellite and OTA signals. Please note, they have different tuners for OTA and for satellite. Coolsat 6000 does not mention OTA tuners in their product description. Since this would be an add on feature, the marketing department would surely advertise OTA capabilities...

davii...,
I got nothing found if I google on your TV model number 32LG30.
What make is it and are you sure the model number is correct
All TV I have owned have had composite video and stereo audio out so that a VCR could be used to record broadcasts, However, these ouputs only work with analog NTSC video input from antenna or S-video inputs on my HDTV.

Interesting Walford! All the vcr's and a dvd recorder that I own required putting them first on the cable feed, before the tv. I've never had video outputs on any tv.

Both my Samsung HDTV and my RCA CRT have composite video out.

Interesting, learned something new today! :) Our Sony HD ready tv has composite video out. Really limited utility though for recording purposes. The tv must be playing in order to capture programming... In the OP's case, it makes much more sense to go directly from the antenna to a video capture card in his computer. HD OTA programming would be saved in HD rather than downrezzed to 480i with tv video out.

I just located the specs for your TV and sure enough there is no video out capability just audio as you stated.

You could just use an old beat up VCR as a tuner. However it will not work on ATSC broadcasts.
